What is The Purple Van?
The Purple Van is an informational blog for those interested in gaining knowledge on cybersecurity topics, resources, and strategies. My main focus will be SecOps and threat-informed defense topics, think purple teaming, threat intelligence, detection engineering, threat hunting, and adversary emulation. I’ll also include some very average memes.
While the target purpose of these posts is to describe effective and helpful cybersecurity practices and tools, I will also freely scrutinize and challenge the industry and common thoughts, beliefs, or practices. The cybersecurity community is (for the most part) a fun and helpful group of people, and I want to do my part to assist those involved. Subscribe to never miss an update, but more importantly, use these posts to learn and help others.
What to expect
How often should you expect to receive new posts? Right now, my aim is to send out just one or two a month. I desire to only create blog posts that are well thought-out, descriptive, and clear. So I will take my time on these. This rate could change down the road.
Stay up-to-date
If you subscribe you won’t have to worry about missing a thing. Every new blog post goes directly to your inbox.
